National Defense—
Vital. Complex. Dynamic.

With America's role in the world continually evolving to meet new global challenges, the role of leadership in the defense industry has never been more vital. And the need for military leaders, government executives, and corporate defense contractors who can provide mission critical products and services—and who understand the unique demands of the complex and dynamic national defense sector—has never been more vital.

Our National Defense EMBA Program is designed to develop leaders and managers within the U.S. defense industry. We combine high–caliber executive business education with the specialized knowledge and skills required to advance your career in the defense sector. You will expand your knowledge across all business disciplines, including executive leadership and industry intelligence. You'll also develop an expert skill set to support programmatic operations and budgetary decision–making.

A four–day Washington, D.C. residency brings your class together and introduces key topics and visits to D.C.'s locales. This visit is tailored to the National Defense industry and will deliver a unique and enriching experience.

MASON COMMITS TO YELLOW RIBBON EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM

Joins more than 1,100 colleges and universities across country in supporting veterans

George Mason University joined the Yellow Ribbon Education Enhancement Program in 2009. The initiative, which Mason is offering in partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is aimed at expanding higher education funding for post-9/11 servicemen and women and is another example of how Mason continues to assist U.S. military personnel who have served the nation.

The Yellow Ribbon Education Enhancement Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. Beginning in August 2009, the program started to allow institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to voluntarily enter into an agreement with VA to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. The institution can contribute up to 50 percent of those expenses and VA will match the same amount as the institution.
